These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LightFactory, the AI-native IDE provided by LightFactory (evolved from AnotherC4) ("LightFactory", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using LightFactory, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, installing the software, or otherwise using LightFactory, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using LightFactory on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Description of Service

LightFactory is a subscription-based, AI-native integrated development environment that generates live C4 diagrams from your code, expands short specifications into full technical specs, performs architecture and contextual code review, and provides best-practice agentic development flows. We may add, modify, or remove features over time to improve the product.

3. Account & License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use LightFactory for your internal development purposes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each license is granted on a per-user basis.

4. Payment Terms

LightFactory is offered as a subscription billed at $49/month per user, charged in advance on a recurring monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen billing method for the applicable fees, including any taxes, until you cancel. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

LightFactory and all associated software, trademarks, and content are owned by us and our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the source code, diagrams, and other content you create or process using LightFactory. We claim no ownership over your code or projects.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LightFactory and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or end your access to LightFactory if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that may cause harm to us or other users. Upon the end of your subscription, your license to use the software ceases.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LightFactory operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of LightFactory after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
